Ministry Objectives
This ministry is designed to aid and assist individuals who are struggling with drug and alcohol abuse. This is to be done by counseling and utilizing the Word of God to encourage and to deliver people from the bondage of drug and alcohol abuse. We believe that the Gospel of Jesus Christ is the Power of God unto Salvation
(Rom. 1: 16-17) and it can provide deliverance to anyone from anything including Drugs and Alcohol.
This ministry provides:
Ø Immediate placement in a licensed, short/long-term medical drug and alcohol treatment and rehabilitation facility that has beds available.
Ø Clothes, shoes, hygiene products and religious reading materials for people placed in facilities that don’t provide these items.
Ø A personal life coach for private, confidential discussions and development.
Ø Frequent support group meetings for recovering addicts.
Ø Educational correspondence about the repercussions of abusing drugs and alcohol.
Ø SSI application assistance for addicts who are HIV positive or AIDS patients.
Ø Ongoing prevention counseling and more.
The More Than Conquerors Drug and Alcohol Rehabilitation ministry ensures that all covenant partners who are housed in short and long-term treatment facilities are visited at least once per month. MTCDAR also delivers clothes and other personal items needed to each facility and provides progress reports on all patients to the ministry leader, the patient’s family members, and Pastor Sims. In addition to that, MTCDAR is responsible for making sure that any letters to the courts, counselors, doctors, or lawyers on behalf of any covenant partners who are in a long-term treatment facility are written and submitted to Pastor Sims for approval prior to submission.
The Ministry leader:
Ø Must be saved.
Ø Must be certified as a drug rehab counselor or at least one year of counseling experience.
Ø Must be familiar with all state regulations concerning drug and alcohol treatment.
Ø Must complete 8 weeks of leadership training.
Ø Must be a covenant partner with C. O. I. M.
